Logo and kiosk design for Brooklyn College food and snack stop.
I was asked to create a logo that would be “cool and edgy” for SEA LIME FISHING LURES, a new style of lures that are currently in production. This was a juicy challenge from the conceptualization stages to finalization. Subsequent projects for SEA LIME included package and lure design, printed ads, and business cards.
I am always happy to get the chance to design outside the box (and off the page). When presented with the opportunity to design printed bus wraps, I was excited to find a way to transfer the fun and excitement the YMCA offers on a moving billboard onto bus wraps that would cover yellow school busses. I created five different designs for YMCA buses that hit the road in style with a busload of happy kids.
The Veggie Van is a bright and colorful mobile market place, bringing underserved families healthy fruits and vegetables. Sponsored by the Tampa Metropolitan Area YMCA, this is a wonderful program that benefits people living in what are referred to as "food deserts". My goal in designing the Veggie Van wrap was to get kids and adults alike excited to see a van stuffed with fruits and vegetables rolling into their neighborhood. Look out ice cream man, there's a new van in town.
The race committee for the first annual Goody Goody Thanksgiving 5K was looking for a logo that would compete with similar races held on the same day across the Bay Area. This turkey would be part of the 2015 Tampa YMCA superhero campaign. Using my illustration skills, I developed this lively character sporting a yellow cape. Yellow capes will be handed out to participants as part of the YMCA Cancer Wellness (LIVESTRONG) initiative.
The Old Northeast General Store wants to be more than just your average convenience store, they aim to bring character and charm to a neighborhood BP gas station. I designed their logo to have a vintage-y, nostalgic look that reflects the warmth of the staff and makes you feel like the store has been there forever.
Various signs were also created with quick messaging to inform passers-by of new products and daily specials.
The Neighborhood of Promise is a collaboration of residents, educators, service providers, government agencies, business leaders and funding partners whose goal is to create a greater opportunity of success for the youth of the Sulphur Springs neighborhood. My task was to create an identity that supports this initiative.
This was a challenging process in that many leaders were involved during the conceptual stages and everyone’s ideas were taken into consideration in the creation of the logo.
The final logo that I created is used on a variety of print-related materials, and on the website, which I designed and manage.
Miscellaneous projects come across my desk from time to time and I love working with different people on assorted creative projects.
This includes graphic design and production of Gloom Balloon album cover and sleeve jacket.
Page layout and design of children’s book, “Goodnight Mr. Darcy” (B), (a parody of the classic book “Goodnight Moon”), illustrated by Alli Arnold.
Book cover design for “Know When To Hold ‘Em”, a book written for spouses of loved ones who suffer with gambling addictions.
Logo design for Calais Park Apartments.
Cheese-craving college students prayers have been answered with the arrival of a brand new food court vendor: Mac Attack.
Mac Attack serves gourmet mac and cheese and grilled cheese sandwiches, and was in need of a (non-cheesy) logo that would stand strong beside competing vendors. In addition to the logo, I designed a counter wrap, punch cards, and digital menu boards to compliment the brand.
Hazel Belle is a luxury children’s soap company based in Hudson, New York and sold in boutiques nationwide. Hazel Belle needed a logo to compliment their whimsical packaging, illustrated by Alli Arnold. My objective when creating this logo was to convey a youthful, sophisticated feel that would appeal to both children and adults.
